Synology UC3400 12-Bay Unified Controller SAN Enclosure

Expand your network's storage capacity with the UC3400 12-Bay Unified Controller SAN Enclosure from Synology. This SAN enclosure has a total storage capacity of 192TB across 12 2.5" / 3.5" SAS hard drive bays and two controller modules. Each controller is power by a 2.4 GHz Intel Xeon D-1521 Quad-Core processor with 8GB or DDR4 memory for fast and efficient operation. Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, a 10 Gigabit Ethernet port, and a single PCIe 3.0 x8 slot for a 10GbE / 25GbE network interface card expansion are available to each controller, allowing you to scale up the device as your business grows.

Drives can be set up in RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, JBOD, and F1 configuration and the UC3400 has AES-NI hardware encryption to help protect your data. Additionally, Synology Snapshot Replication provides schedulable data protection by replicating your data to both offsite servers and local volumes.

The Synology UC3400 features two controllers that work together simultaneously, syncing memory data through a non-transparent bridge (NTB), and can automatically fail to each other during catastrophic events to continue operating without interruptions.

The SAN supports up to 12 high-speed SAS drives with a raw capacity of 192TB and can be set up in RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, JBOD, and F1 configurations. You can also install self encrypting drives to help further secure your data. Up to two RXD1219sas expansion units can be added via the mini-SAS HD ports for up to 576TB of total raw capacity.

With Snapshot Replication, you can schedule up to 4,096 system-wide snapshots for local volumes or offsite servers. The UC3400 delivers application-aware snapshot protection and virtual machine recovery in iSCSI LUNs in the event of a disaster.
